Steve Jobs’ Home Becomes Protected Historical Site

sj4

Steve Jobs was a legendary figure in the world of technology, and now his Silicon Valley childhood home has been set as a historical site.

The historical commission of Los Altos pushed for two years to solidify 2066 Crist Drive as a landmark, and they finally succeeded. Jobs built the first 100 Apple 1 computers in the garage of this home, which were sold at the time to a computer store in Mountain View and several computer enthusiast friends. The house was built in 1952 and offers 1,793 square feet of living space with three bedrooms and two baths.

Future renovations to the home will require review. Though the home isn’t currently for sale, plenty of surrounding properties are available.
