As children many of us dreamed of living in a tree house, and now as adults, we can live out those dreams thanks to this “Tree House” in the woods of Georgia.

According to Curbed, the “Tree House,” which is a part of the “Mountain House” compound, is a “cantilevered glass box that floats amid a forest of towering poplars.” The forest wonderland offers access to a bedroom with a kitchen, a bathroom with an open shower, private terrace, a screened porch with just under 1,000 square feet and a fireplace, a built-in grill, and a library. The 21-acre property also features multiple nature paths, ponds, and creeks and the “Pond House,” which is said to be available for rent sometime soon.

Not too far from North Carolina and less than two hours away from Atlanta’s downtown, the Tree House’s location is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

Steven Bennett, the Tree House’s current owner, is said to have been a longtime admirer of architects Mack Scogin and Merrill Elam, who co-designed the home.

Purchased in July, the “Tree House” can be rented for $250 a night via Airbnd. Prior to Bennett’s purchase, the asking price for the property was $1 million.
