The Wall Street Journal Reports: Santa Barbara Estate Sells for $14M

The roughly 12.5-acre estate first went on the market in January for $19.95 million, then was reduced to $16.9 million in July. The buyers were Dean and Darcy Christal, founders of the California hair care products company Olaplex. They were represented by Randy Solakian of Coldwell Banker Previews International.

The Mediterranean-style house was built in 2003, with an addition a few years later, Mr. Christal said. Located on a hillside in the Hope Ranch area, the eight-bedroom house measures about 13,000 square feet.
