Marble and Limestone Luxury Estate Sells for £80million in Britain

London’s real estate market is notoriously pricey, so naturally we were curious to see what the buyer of an £80million home would be getting for their money. Touted as Britain’s most expensive terraced luxury estate, this 21,500 sq. ft. London property, formerly the residence of New Zealand’s High Commissioner, is just a hop and a skip from the city’s prestigious 410-acre Regent’s Park.

Sold through Savills Estate Agents, the home boasts four stories, seven bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, nine reception rooms and a catering kitchen. Other features include a personal gym, swimming pool, high-tech gates, iPad-controlled lighting, a manicured garden, neo-classical stucco features, columns featuring the Greek Goddess Artemis, and double staircases connecting the terrace and lawns.

Property mogul and businessman Marcus Cooper closed the deal on the 1820s Cornwall Terrace luxury estate this week. The estate was designed by Decimus Burton, the same architect who built Buckingham Palace, which may account for the price tag – 492 times the average price.
