Calvin Klein’s Former Penthouse On Market For $35M

Curbed has reported that the 5,000-square-foot NYC penthouse formerly owned by iconic fashion designer Calvin Klein is on the market for a cool $35 million.  When Klein owned the penthouse in the ’80s and ’90s (the property was purchased in 1999 for $8.6 million by record executive Steve Gottlieb), he installed a hot tub on the roof and tore down all the interior walls.

The apartment boasts a 37-foot gallery, a 27-foot-long living room, a 30-foot-long dining room, terraces, and amazing views over Central Park.

“Every day is a miracle from up here,” he told the New York Times of the 12-room unit. The property may be familiar to movie fans as Superman’s home from the 1978 Christopher Reeve movie.
