The old Central High School site, empty since its closure 13 years ago, is finally being transformed. A massive $500 million project called Incline Village is now underway. This development will bring new homes, businesses, and public spaces to the Central Hillside area, turning the long-vacant site into a lively and vital part of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Place to Live<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Project developer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rabbilazarostreicher.com\/\">Luzy Oestreicher<\/a><\/strong> highlighted Duluth&#8217;s growth and the increasing demand for housing. Incline Village aims to address this need by introducing 1,180 housing units and 120 condos in various sizes and styles, making it easier for residents to find suitable homes. Beyond housing, the development is expected to benefit local businesses, as employers often face challenges attracting and retaining workers due to limited housing options. By expanding residential availability, Incline Village will help strengthen Duluth\u2019s workforce and economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Boost to the Tax Base<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once Incline Village is complete, taxes will help Duluth&#8217;s economy in another way. Right now, the old Central High School site doesn&#8217;t bring in much money because it&#8217;s empty. However, it will generate property taxes when it becomes busy with residential and commercial areas. This means more money for the city, the county, and local schools. The growing population in the region will also spend more money on goods and services, which will increase sales tax revenue.
