Vicki Gaily, Marketing Director, Realtor Associate, and founder of Special Properties opened up the Special Properties division of Brook Hollow Group Inc. in 1992. Named by the prestigious Town & Country Magazine as “The Gatekeeper of Saddle River”, Vicki Gaily continues to have the highest sales and listings sold production in Saddle River through 2023. Creating Special Properties was a labor of love for Vicki. She attests that real estate has never been “just a job” to her, it is her passion. Receiving national recognition as one of the top luxury real estate specialists throughout the last 40 years, Vicki continues to maintain a position as the top agent in million-dollar-plus sales in all of Northwest Bergen County, New Jersey from 1992 to the present.<\/p>\n

Why did you choose Real Estate?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I started working before my daughter was born in a Fortune 500 company on Park Avenue in NYC. However, when she started preschool I decided to go into a business with more flexibility as well as where\u00a0I could be a differentiator. I focused on the luxury market in the area where we lived and decided to concentrate on marketing which was my specialty at my prior job. I felt that to set myself apart from my competitors I had to offer my seller clients venues that none of my competitors were using which led to all of my exclusive relationships with different venues, some of which I still have today. It made a huge difference in building my listing inventory. And the rest is history!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

How did you get to where you are today?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It seemed like a slow progression while it was happening but it was really about building a track record of both successfully selling your clients their homes as well as getting their listings sold. Once you have established yourself as the area expert, it is a matter of sharing your statistics so that you can keep\u00a0yourself at the top and distance yourself from your competitors.<\/p>\n

What is one of your favorite client stories?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Being in the business for 4 decades offers many stories. I have had the pleasure and privilege of meeting\u00a0numerous celebrities and athletes as well as nationally & internationally known CEOs and public figures.<\/p>\n

There was one family I relocated 10 times and we have become great friends, actually more like family.\u00a0Many of my clients are local business people and it\u2019s been great watching their children grow up and now have families of their own. Many of my clients have become part of my life.<\/p>\n

Without going into specifics, some of my most iconic sales have offered me 2 and 3 times both listing & selling these incredible residences. These are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and here I feel so privileged to be a part of these super transactions each time they have become available.<\/p>\n

What makes your market unique?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our market area is located approximately 30 minutes outside of Manhattan. For those who don\u2019t want to leave the New York City area, it\u2019s a natural progression to reside right outside the city. They don\u2019t have to relocate their jobs and they can enjoy all the culture and attributes of what New York City is known for. Even now, we have many New Yorkers coming out to Northern New Jersey. The Burbs are Back!<\/p>\n
