Located between Washington and Oregon is the country\u2019s largest National Scenic Area – the Columbia River Gorge. Just a mile down the road is the Maryhill Museum of Art. The museum is a vibrant cultural destination set on a 5,300-acre bluff overlooking the Gorge with stunning views of Mt. Hood (which you don\u2019t get on the Oregon side). The historic, Beaux-Arts Mansion was originally intended as the residence for Sam Hill, the museum\u2019s founder. It, along with the second wing, now has 35,000 sq. ft. of gallery space for a superior art collection that includes 80 works by Auguste Rodin.<\/p>\n

On the western edge of the Columbia River Gorge is Stevenson, Washington, the home of Skamania Lodge. Skamania Lodge ranks at the top of the list for luxurious resort destinations in the Pacific Northwest.
