In the middle of Lake Mahopac in Mahopac, New York, a lush, heart-shaped island\u2013\u2013with two Frank Lloyd Wright-designed <\/a>homes and a rooftop helipad\u2013\u2013has been listed with a $14,920,000 price tag, Mansion Global <\/a><\/em>reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Just a 15-minute helicopter ride from Manhattan or a 4.5-minute helicopter ride from Westchester County Airport, according to the listing<\/a>, the private 11-acre island property is owned by Joe Massaro, a sheet metal mogul.<\/p>\n

\"Frank<\/a><\/p>\n

Massaro bought the parcel for $750,000 in 1995, according to property records, from its previous owner Ahmed Chahroudi, who had commissioned the construction of a three-bedroom cottage from Wright in 1950. Wright drew up plans for a main residence, as well, but Chahroudi ran out of money to follow through with it. When he bought the land, Massaro hired Illinois-based architect Thomas Heinz, who knows Wright\u2019s architecture well, to build it.<\/p>\n

\"Frank<\/a><\/p>\n

Both triangular in shape, the cottage and main residence are constructed with sculptural boulders and exposed rock bulging through concrete walls. With four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, the roughly 6,000-square-foot main residence, \u201cMassaro House,\u201d is roofed by a helipad. A geometric skylight is centered in the living area.<\/p>\n

Additionally, there is a guesthouse, teahouse, and dock. The property offers plenty of space for a pool, a tennis court, and even more amenities.<\/p>\n

Massaro briefly listed the island for $20 million in 2012 to test the waters, says listing agent Chadwick Ciocci, CEO and founder of Chilton & Chadwick.<\/p>\n
