We ask ourselves this every year here at the Jersey Shore. Activities start to ramp up in May but don\u2019t get into full swing until July, then it all ends so quickly by Labor Day. Too much fun; too little time.<\/p>\n

One of the greatest treasures of Monmouth County is that our beaches and beach towns are open all year. You don\u2019t just buy a summer home, you buy a year-round destination. So what exactly is it we do off-season?<\/p>\n

Off-season is a wonderful time to enjoy all the local cuisine as the crowds have dwindled. There are hundreds of choices, from the simplest, to the sublime. Asbury Park has become a dining destination with options like Taka, Pascal & Sabine, Fish, Moonstruck, and many more. Spring Lake has Larimar, Black Trumpet, and Whispers; head to Manasquan and Brielle to dine downtown or on the water; or just stroll down Main Street, from Belmar, to Asbury, and you will fill every weekend.<\/p>\n

Do you like local theater? Count Bassie and Two River Theatres in Red Bank, Manasquan, has The Alconquin, The Spring Lake Theatre, Two River Theatre in Red Bank, and the New Jersey Repertory in Long Branch to highlight a few. You\u2019ll see great performances, Broadway talent, and reasonable prices. Of course, don\u2019t pass up an opportunity to visit the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove. It is quite an experience!<\/p>\n

Many of the towns offer historic house tours, Thanksgiving parades, holiday tree lighting events, and sidewalk sales, plus, there is always a restaurant week planned.<\/p>\n

Sound a little like home? Monmouth County is not just a place for a beach house, it is the<\/em> place to have a home by the beach at the Jersey Shore!<\/p>\n
