Is there a food that you are totally obsessed with? We are mad for pizza, and we know we are not alone!<\/p>\n

According to the 2015 Pizza Power Report<\/a> for the year ending November 2014, pizza sales in the United States increased by more than three percent and exceeded $38 billion in sales. Additionally, more than 50 percent of pizzerias in the United States are independently owned. Who doesn\u2019t love supporting a small local business, especially when it involves eating great food?<\/p>\n

Lucky for us, Los Angeles has plenty of great places to enjoy a delicious slice or two of pizza. Our favorite spots are Bestia, Folliero\u2019s Italian Food and Pizza, and Pizzeria Mozza.<\/p>\n

Bestia<\/a><\/p>\n

We love Bestia\u2019s Neopolitan-style pizza, which leans toward more innovative toppings, as well as its burrata pizza, a thin crust pie that is topped with San Marzano tomatoes, castelvetrano olives, oregano, and fermented chilies and deftly fired in a wood burning oven.<\/p>\n

If we feel like venturing to Hollywood for dinner, we often go to Pizzeria Mozza. This Southern California destination, owned by Joe Bastianich, Mario Batali, and Nancy Silverton, is well known for its crust and farm-to-table pizza made with high-quality ingredients from local farms.<\/p>\n

Folliero\u2019s Italian Food and Pizza<\/a><\/p>\n

For a taste of East Coast-style pizza, the place to go is Folliero\u2019s Italian Food and Pizza in Highland Park. Founded in 1968, this is the spot where New Yorkers head for a taste of home. Folliero\u2019s consistently ranks as one of the best pizza places in Los Angeles. Its traditional margherita pie is delizioso<\/em>. This is a great spot for families, but make note that it’s cash only!<\/p>\n

Often we are in a hurry and can\u2019t get downtown, to Hollywood, or even to Highland Park, so we head to Blaze “Fast-Fire\u2019d” Pizza or Taratino\u2019s in Pasadena.<\/p>\n

Blaze is what foodies call a fast casual, artisan pizzeria. After you select your toppings, your personalized pizza is slid into the oven, cooked, and ready to enjoy in about three minutes. This is a great spot for a quick lunch or when we\u2019re hurrying to catch a movie at Laemmle-Pasadena.<\/p>\n

Another great spot for pizza in Pasadena is Tarantino\u2019s Pizzeria. This made-to-order, home-style eatery serves large portions of traditional Italian fare with the freshest ingredients and they make the most delicious homemade sauce.<\/p>\n

We love pizza so much that we decided to install a pizza oven in our backyard. After countless hours of researching them, we chose a Wildwood oven. We chose this one because it is made in the U.S. and available locally in Eagle Rock. We like experimenting with new combinations of toppings, many of which are fresh-picked from our garden, which is just steps away from our oven. Talk about farm-to-table dining!<\/p>\n

The weekend is just a few days away, and seeing that the weather is perfect, we think we will host a party and serve (you guessed it) pizza!<\/p>\n
