Manuel Antonio National Park\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Whether you enjoy being among crowds or relaxing in privacy, you can find both along the Pacific Coast beaches in Costa Rica. Manuel Antonio National Park is a favorite for families to enjoy. On a nature walk through the park you will see monkeys, sloths, toucans, and other bird species. You will end up at some of the most spectacular beach coves in Costa Rica\u2014take a dip or enjoy the warm sun while you relax and read a book.<\/p>\n

Or if don\u2019t like crowds, come to the Costa Ballena and visit the National Marine Park. You and your family can stroll for miles and walk the famous \u201cWhales Tail\u201d or kayak or spelunk the caves at Ventanas. There are also a few family-friendly beaches littered along the coast with natural shade provided by trees. No lounge chairs or umbrellas are here. You may even get lucky and have the beach all to yourselves.<\/p>\n

The beaches may be what bring people to Costa Rica, but it is definitely not the only thing they remember. As the country banned zoos in 2013, wanting to reinforce the idea of interacting with all of natural in its natural environment, one can find all types of wildlife in the rain forests. Monteverde Cloud Forest has one of the longest zip lines in the country, a biological reserve, and a bat jungle to name just a few of the fun and interesting things to do.<\/p>\n

Another great place to enjoy with the family is The La Paz Waterfall Gardens. It is a fabulous day trip from San Jose and provides access to flora, fauna, butterflies, birds, and waterfalls. All ages are welcome here and it is special treat. Have you or your children ever seen a volcano? Volcan Arenal is a world-renown spot for both kids and adults. On a clear day, you can see the lava flowing down the sides of the mountain. There are also thermal hot springs to enjoy and day passes are available at most facilities.<\/p>\n
