Agents selling a Newport Coast mansion for $37 million have dropped the name \u201cVilla del Lago\u201d from the property\u2019s promotion as part of a marketing makeover.<\/p>\n

The 12.5-acre estate is now being identified in listings by its address alone: 1 Pelican Hill Road North<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor various reasons, simply referring to the property by its address has allowed us to move forward with its marketing free of prior associations and impressions from other\u2019s marketing efforts,\u201d said Rob Giem, one of the project\u2019s new listing agents.<\/p>\n

John McMonigle<\/a>, the project\u2019s former manager and listing agent, dubbed the estate as \u201cVilla del Lago\u201d \u2013 or villa of the lake \u2013 when it was little more than an artist\u2019s conception.<\/p>\n

McMonigle\u2019s vision showed a twin-winged mansion with 24,000 square feet of living space and underground parking, a lake with a cascading waterfall, vineyard, tennis court, pool and equestrian center.<\/p>\n
