Katie Lee<\/a>, the ex-wife of musician Billy Joel<\/a>, has purchased a home in Water Mill, New York, a publicist for Lee confirms.<\/p>\n

Lee paid about $3.5 million, says the publicist. The newly constructed home had been listed for $3.999 million, according to the listing.<\/p>\n

The 6,700-square-foot home has six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.\u00a0 It is on roughly two acres with a heated pool.<\/p>\n

The house was listed with Kimberly Stengel and Dane Clark of Town & Country Real Estate<\/a>.\u00a0 The company declined to comment on the deal.<\/p>\n

Lee is the author of two cookbooks and the recently published novel, \u201cGroundswell.\u201d\u00a0 She had been living in Sagaponack, where Joel bought her a beach home<\/a> when they were married. That home is now on the market for $16.75 million.<\/p>\n
